What is Rent, Try, Buy!™

With Rent, Try, BuyTM you can choose to rent from our wide range of brand new or quality refurbished products and you have the option to buy out a similar product to the one you're renting. And, the best part is, after payment of 36 months' rental, the buyout is only $1. Products available to buy using Rent, Try, BuyTM are similar to rented products in age, dimension and feature.

What are the brands of the products I can rent?
The brands of products include LG, Toshiba, NEC, BH Fitness, Panasonic, Sony, Acer, Simpson, Mitsubishi and Westinghouse.

Do I have to rent for 18 months?
Absolutely NOT! We have a range of rental terms so whether you need a product for the weekend, a week, or a month, we will have something to suit your needs.

How do I apply to rent?

Once you have chosen the product(s) you wish to rent, you can apply by:

  • Clicking on the 'Apply to rent now' Link. This will take you to an online application for credit, which once completed will be sent to your local Radio Rentals store. From there, a sales person will contact you to finalise the application, conduct a credit check and organise delivery of your product(s)
  • Calling 131 181 to be connected to your local store
  • Or visiting your local store.

What information do I need when applying?

You will need:

  • Photo identification (a drivers licence, passport or 18+ card)
  • Residential, Landlord or Real Estate Agent details
  • Employer details or Pension details
  • Details of three personal references, with their names, addresses and phone numbers

Can I rent from you if I am unemployed or on a pension?
Yes. Call or visit your local Radio Rentals store and once a credit check has been completed we will be able to suggest the right products to suit your needs and financial situation.

Why do you require references?
As part of the credit check process, we require three personal references in order to verify the details you have given us.

Do I need to be home for delivery?
Yes, the person whose name is on the application will need to be home to show their identification, sign any documentation required and accept delivery of the products.

How much do I need to pay on delivery?
Radio Rentals offers FREE delivery for rental contracts longer than 6 months. The first rental payment for your product(s) is payable on delivery. There may be other fees due - check with your local Radio Rentals store for more details.

Do you deliver on weekends?
Yes, in most locations we do, please ask your local store for their delivery details.

How can I make my payments?

Payments can be made:

  • By B-pay - by quoting your account number and our Biller Code 5298
  • Through Centre Link - by quoting our reference no: CRN 555 050 003L
  • Phone Direct, on 1300889938, using your credit card
  • In person at your local Radio Rentals store - by bank cheque or money order payable to Radio Rentals, cash, credit card or eftpos; or
  • By post - by mailing the bank cheque or money order made payable to Radio Rentals to PO Box 4272, Milperra,  NSW, 2214 and writing your account number on the back of the bank cheque or money order.

Is there a deposit or bond required?
There is no deposit or bond on brand new products on an 18 month rental contract. We may request a bond in other situations, please contact your nearest store for more details.

What happens if I move?
Contact us to advise us of your new address. We can arrange to collect your products and either deliver them to your new home or arrange for replacements products if you are moving long distances within the service area of another store.

Can I end my rental contract early?
Yes, you can. Contact us and we can advise you of the payment amount and early termination fee for ending your contract.

What happens if my product breaks down?
One of the many benefits of renting with Radio Rentals is that if your product breaks down during your rental, we will service and repair it absolutely FREE!
